Current works vary in size and subject manner, with some having been started earlier and now being revisited. I started a new series this spring entitled 'palm springs palms' focusing on my own backyard palm as inspiration with the goal of capturing and recording the beautiful variety of light this time of year in the desert. Endless possibilities abound for creating representations of the beauty exposed by nature.
Recently Completed Works
The 'Plein Air Desert' Series makes up the bulk of the works most recently completed, a result of several visits to the Indian Canyons to paint the local flora and fauna. Other views were painted on Palm Springs Airport property to gain a real perspective and scope of the mountains above the city. My latest study of Palm Trees is represented by four small works, a departure from the large scale works I normally create.
